Oi minha familia,
How is everything going there? I hope that everything is good, even though I left, you guys should still be able to find something fun to do.
  Today is my preparation day and we get to use email, so I will be emailing you every tuesday for my entire time at the CTM. I sent you a letter today too and that has a lot of information in it too. And just because I am going to be able to email doesn´t mean that I don´t want letters still.
  Things are going pretty good here, it took me a few days to get rid of jet lag, and a few days after that to stop feeling homesick, but I said some prayers and as of Sunday night I feel better about everything. I hope you all aren~t sad either, because it is so exciting to be here! I am learning the language, and every now and again I get a glimpse that I might eventually be able to speak this language. I can now pray in portuguese and can almost bear my testimony. And every day lingo is coming along somewhere behind those two. I am also learning all of the lessons from preach my gospel.
  The CTM is in Sao Paulo Brazil, 22 million people live here, and let me tell you it is a city, skyscrapers in every direction as far as you can see and inbetween them are houses so close together that they are on top of each other, no lawns. the view from my room is amazing. I will send you some pictures next week.
  I have ran into a couple of people I know, Elder Haws I lived with at BYU, Elder England I went to high school with, and a surprising couple of others.
  So... I have some news... not sure if it is good or not... but I will tell you anyways.... I was called to be the district leader here in my district at the CTM. Which means that I am supposed to be an example and a step ahead of everyone, also that I have a lot more time requirments outside of the regular 12 hours of class. But it is good, I am a little scared, but I should be able to adjust... hopefully.

well that is all for now, I am sure I will remember a million things that I wanted to say as soon as I leave, but I will be sure and tell you next week, if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them, I am looking forward to letters :)
