Neat Story:
"Well, guess what? Hna Vidal and I are speaking on Sunday in sacrament. My first talk in the mission! Of course I had to go up my first Sunday to share my testimony, but this time I have to speak for 10 minutes. At least I have a topic! IĻm speaking on how the Book of Mormon answers the questions of the soul - which is actually a good topic. There is a section on it in Preach My Gospel chapter 5, so I will use part of that. Itīs so true though that it does answer those questions of the soul. The Book of Mormon contains the fulness of the gospel and the plan of salvation. And when we start to believe it in, read it, and study it, with the guidance of the spirit we will find answers to those generic questions - like where we came from and what we need to do to have eternal life - and personal questions too. I know that much of the time Heavenly Father uses our personal reading of the scriptures to answer our prayers. The Book of Mormon literally is His word given to prophets, writing to us for our day. And it is just so important that we adopt the habit of spending time in the scriptures daily, even if itīs just a verse. We will find peace, hope, personal revelation, and the knowledge to make it through this life sucessfully. I truly have a testimony of that. So... this talk will be a lot of me reading off of a paper, and we shall see how it goes."
"We have actually had a really great week so far. We taught 3 lessons on Monday - one of them was a family home evening we invited an investigator to attend with a recently converted family. And yesterday was a day of miracles, honestly. We taught 5 lessons with a member present, 6 total! And, we found 2 new investigators! We worked hard yesterday. We were out from 11 until 9:30 in crummy rainy, windy weather, but it was good! And the girl that accompanied us is great. Honestly, the members here are so awesome. Of course there are some things they have trouble doing, just like everywhere else, such as home and visiting teaching - yes, that is a problem everywhere, haha, and itīs not good for people here having a hard time who eventually become inactive. But the members here give such great support to us and actively do missionary work on there own! Itīs really nice to have so many references and not have to contact all day. I hear contacting is all that they do in Buenos Aires, and I know that will be difficult for me to just talk to people in the street all day so IĻm grateful to be here - for now."
