Hola Mi Familia,
"I can't believe how fast this week went by. It was crazy. Last Monday Hna. R__ and I sent a picture of us to Pres. Call in Tacoma, just to show him that the two Tacoma girls are serving together. It was fun. Then on Tuesday we had interviews with Pres. Pitts. I think he was happy to see me more at ease; not so stressed. :) So it was a good interview.
"We've been teaching a lot and also contacting a lot. We walked all day Saturday because we had run out of miles. That was hard. Never been so tired in my entire mission....that night we called the APs for more miles...they like us so they gave us 50 extra miles. So we are good til Sept. We only use about 20 miles a day.
"Oh, looks like we are having another baptism on Saturday. His name is A__ T__. He's a 17 yr old that moved up from Mexico just a little while ago. Good kid, very honest. Can't wait to see him baptized. He wants to go on a mission when he is 19. It's a good goal.
"So I'm getting to know this district really well. Every other day or so we wake up at 6:00am to go play volley-basketball with the Elders. (We only have a volleyball...so that's what we use to play basketball...it's really fun.)
We had a district lunch on Friday at the Chinese Buffet...the table conversation (elder's speak) reminded me of Sunday dinners with Tony. :) It was really fun.
On Wednesday Hna. R__ and I had to do the training at District Meeting, it was on "How to Develop Christlike Attributes"... we decided to go really girlie and use colorful visuals... a couple of the Elders liked our display so much they took a picture... silly Elders.
"They are a good group. They remind me of my last district in Beaver only this group is a little more focused. :) Our district leader is from England...and he is a typical Brit. It's kind of funny.
"Oh...another side note...we have a fellow-shipper that plays on the BYU football team. He's name is Brian. I will meet him on Friday....so if you want me to ask him anything, Dad,...let me know. :)
"Also in the A__ W__ there is a family I knew in O__ S__ when they were going to the C__ Branch. They were happy to see me and were so happy to see how much my Spanish had improved. It was a nice confidence boost.
"So all is well. Hope you are doing well. I'm seeing little miracles everyday. And its cool."
