Favorite Scripture:
In his first letter from the MTC, John wrote the following brief testimony in the spanish he has learned so far: "Sho se que JesuCristo es un hijo de Dios. Sho se que Jose Smith es un profeta de Dios y tradujo el Libro de Mormon. El Libro de Mormon es verdad." In a subsequent letter all his "SHO" were changed to "YO" which is spanish for "I" (apparently Y sounds like SH in some countries, including Argentina)
Neat Story:
Wow what a conference. We loved it down here, once again they had a seperate room for us in English. I have to share a really spiritual moment. It was in the 1st session when President Monson announced the temples. He said 5 new temples and all the missionaries were interested, Calgary Alberta Canada, Argentina (All the missionaries perked up and it was silent) Cordoba, All of us gave a cheer and then we could hear the cheer of the members, they were all so excited. As it stands right now they have to take a 12 hour busride to the temple in Buenos Aires but soon they will have one in their backyard. It is going to bless so masny members here, and the work will just explode. I kind of liken it to a sword that is going to pierce the darkness. Us missionaries and members are like pins.
