Jeff was transferred on August 1, 2007 to Conway. He has now been called to be Spanish-Speaking! He is so excited and asks for your prayers to bring him up to the challenge!

Latest Adventure:

In Monticello, he had to leave behind two new converts and six investigators that are headed for baptism--3 had already set dates to get wet! He is excited about the Spanish though!

Cookies, Brownies, Etc.

P-day activities:

We will see if he can remember to do P-day in Conway. He always had a bunch of teaching appointments on P-day in Monticello.

Helaman 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Neat Story:

On his first day tracting--they knocked on 10 doors, were invited into 5 of those homes, and were invited back to teach again at 3 of them. Elder Garcia attributes this success to "Elder Slichter's beautiful smile"--he says it makes people say, "Oh, my goodness, come on in, teach me the Gospel!"
