Favorite Scripture:
Ether 12:27
And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Neat Story:
My brains are melting! It's been 100 degrees or more for the past few days. Today it's cooled down to about 93. I've found the reason never to move to California. I'd rather deal with the cold. We're not letting the heat get us down. Elder Roark and I are doing our best to keep on working. While some Elders are fainting from the heat we run from door to door! I've never sweated so much in my life. These are seven shower days people. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. I think the worst part of the heat is at night when it's a balmy 85 degrees. I have a remedy for that however. If you soak your top sheet in water and ring it out as much as possible, you can put the wet sheet on you, turn the cealing fan on and have nice cool sleeping conditions for the whole night. By the time you wake up in the morning the sheet is completely dry. Life is good. Other than the heat our week has gone well. The other day someone knocked off a fire Hydrant and water was shooting about 25 feet in the air. We watched some fire fighters try to shut off the water for about 30 min. We left after that cuz they hadn't shut it off yet. The baptism we had planned fell through. It was a real bummer. The problem we have is that if Christian gets baptized he will more that likely go less active some time in the future. He's only 13 and none of his family members are Mormons. He doesn't have the support to stay active. Hopefully some time in the future when Christian is older he will come back to the missionaries. Despite the heat we actually found a couple of promising people while we we're tracting this week. We have appointments set up for this week and we're praying they'll be there. People like to schedule appointments when they won't be home. This week is transfer week! More than likely I'll be staying here and Elder Roark will be leaving. We have no idea what will happen. Transfers are always a surprise no matter what. So tomorrow we'll find out and the next day we'll make the move. (by the way, no I have not picked up a southern drawl. But I can mimic it pretty good) I'm excited that we're going to get missionary plaques! I was kinda bummed that we didn't have one. I'll be sure to tell you my favorite scripture ASAP. Also you'll get a picture soon for it too. Anyway, I'm out of stuff to say! How's the weather over there doing. I hear it's pretty rainy with flooding all over. Let me know how things are going. I'm gonna write you guys another letter soon. I'm sending home some books and CDs. They've just taken away some of the things we can listen to. It's only Motabs now! It's all good. I love you all! Have a great week! Oh by the way! What was that about Ryan buying and selling a car? Is that something he's doing to try and get money? I think I missed something there. Also I like the fact that dad has a motorcycle. I'm gonna get one when I come home!!!! Best of luck to ya! It's almost the 4th of July! Jason
