Nick is currently serving in North Anchorage-his 3rd area. He loves his mission and loves serving the Lord. The people of Alaska are very good to the missionaries. He has a baptism scheduled for May.
Latest Adventure:
Stake Conference this past weekend. Elder Brinkerhoff from the Quorum of the 70 visited and spoke with the missionaries.
2 Nephi 31:20
Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

I don't know if you remember that less active person that we went to visit before Mother's Day. I didn't know how to help in that meeting at all for any of her concerns. Well, we met with her again last week. I applied what Dad said to what I know we need to be doing anyway. I think that we as missionaries have a hard time with less active members because we think that "They know this already. Why tell them something they already know?" I went in with the mindset that she is still investigating. We did all we could do to invite the spirit into her home. I don't remember what all was said but I do remember that there was not a single question that we didn't answer. She may still have some doubts but she now has answers to those questions and she is able to use her agency to determine her path of choice now.

I love being a missionary! This is the best thing I could possibly be doing right now. I know this is God's church. The only one with the fulness of the gospel. "God does not cause confusion. This church makes sense." was said by someone who was baptized in February. Hearing other people's testimonies is so powerful... especially when their testimony is only about 3 months old. "From the mouths of babes" as some people would put it. Babes are closer to the Lord than any other person. I've been baptized for almost 12 years. I have passed my "age of accountability" if you will. New converts are as pure as you can get but they still need our support. I love this church. I know it's true.
