Neat Story:
Mission work is extremely stressful but at the same time so wonderful. Its a bittersweet experience I guess you could say. I really enjoy the fact that I'm helping people get back to being active and baptizing some other people in the process, but its been more than just a task to do it. I've been thinking alot lately about my purpose as a missionary... the reason that I specifically am here i nthe mission. The leaders talk alot about baptizing because we're the only ones that have the authority to do it in the church, but I've been really focusing on getting alot of inactive members back to church and get them to the temple. I believe that I have found my personal purpose as a missionary: reaching family sealings. Its what brought me to come on the mission... having a real understanding of what the concept of sealing really means. It keeps me running. Its become my focal point here in La Consulta. Theres more than 400 members here... only 40 are active at any given time... so you can get an idea how bad the retention is here.
