Mary Thank you so much I read what you wrote and it made me cry. I was so encouraged by your message. Thank you so much for taking the time to write. I printed you message and sent it to my son I know that he wil be inspired by the message. You have a sweet spirit and I am sure that where you served the people were touched by your being there. Thank you again, as a mother you have no idea how much it meant to me to read that, and yes he is incredible. It was a tough decision for Matt to got but he knows it was the best decision he could have ever made, Mary may the Lord bless you in all you do.

When I was on my mission, I had a website and I like to go through random missionaries to see how they are doing. I just so happened to stop on Elder Simms's and read his story. I must say that he sounds like an amazing young man. I know how hard it is to be on a mission and the dedication he has is remarkable. The homesickness can be so unbareable and it seems so much easier to give up. I was so moved to read that he has put all of his faith in the Lord and is staying because he knows he is there for a reason. His new area will truly be blessed by his gift of love and his powerful testimony. I only hope that other missionaries could read of his example. Elder Simms will go far and bring many people to the Lord because of his great faith and love in Heavenly Father. Posted by: Mary Date: November 17, 2001
