PALMER Population: 4,533
Location: Palmer is in the center of the lush farmlands of the
Matanuska
Valley, 42 miles northeast of Anchorage
73 area residents hold commercial fishing permits. Palmer is home to
200 musk oxen whose underwool (qiviut) is knitted into garments by
Alaska Native women from 12 rural villages. Between 2,500 and 3,500
garments are created each year by these women and sold by an Anchorage
cooperative. The 75-acre musk ox farm is also a tourist attraction. Posted by: MOM Date: July 3, 2003

What an excellent website! This is a wonderful way to send Hello's! So, Hello Bennett!! How is the fish? It sounds like you are having quite an adventure. We love you and miss you! Love, Buddy & Sharon Posted by: Buddy & Sharon Pope Date: June 7, 2003
Finally found your site (with Mom's help). Sounds like you are beginning a wonderful mission. My Grandmother wrote in the Bible that she gave my Mother almost 100 years ago "Be Good, Do Good, and you will be Happy". They were not members of the Church but they had the right idea. It still holds true today. That is what you are doing. That will bring many blessings to everyone around you too.
Lots of love,

Ketchikan is also known as the "Salmon Capital of the World". It lies on the west coast of Revillagigedo Island, 90 miles north of Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The name Ketchikan may have been derived from the Tlinget word for the sound of an eagle's wings in flight.
