Favorite Scripture:
2 Nephi 25:26 "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."

Moroni 8:3 "I am mindful of you always in my prayers, continually praying unto God the Father in the name of his Holy Child, Jesus, that he, through his infinite goodness and grace, will keep you through the endurance of faith on his name to the end."

Neat Story:
OH! I want to tell you the whole story of my first Baptism!! Cuz I'm so excited. It's kinda long so Im sorry. But its good and its full of divine inspiration. here it is: E.Englund and I decided to get an "Un-baptized child" list of the in-active families from the bishopric. So when we finally get it we sat down, looked at it, and prayed about who we should see. We both agreed on three names. The first two we visited ended up wanting their names removed from the Church and didn't want to be contacted anymore. I thought to myself that we were doing the opposite of what we should have been. We're supposed to FIND people to bring INTO the Church not find those wanting to LEAVE. But we looked at the last name we chose. Gabriel Brooks, age 9. We thought, "Oh great, it's gonna be someone else who wants to leave the church." But we tried anyway. So we found the house and knocked on the door... and waited... (oh the suspense!) A gangly guy answered. He looked to be about in his mid-to-late 20's. We asked if it was the Brook's home. He said that that was his sister. Jennifer Maxfield came to the door and told us to come in. Once inside, we briefly talked and got to know each other. She then told us that she had been thinking about coming to church and even wanted us to teach her son. We answered her questions. We were so excited. On our first appointment we met Gabby (Gabriel)This kid is so smart and so eager to learn more. We also learned that the last two missionaries to come to her house was two years ago. They were the ones that baptized her two older kids. We also found that the mother is very particular on who she lets into her home. If she doesn't feel right about someone she won't let them inside. One of the missionaries who baptized her other kids tried coming before with his previous comp. and she just talked with them on the front step. But when the other came; the way the two felt together was "just right" And they were allowed in and they taught and baptized the two older kids. So E. Englund and I knew then that the Lord had prepared us to come together and then decide to see this family. It' amazing, I am seeing the Lord's hand in everything more and more. It has blesses me so much. Anyway... so we taught him the lessons and whats funny was after our first lesson we asked him when we could come back and when he would want to be baptized. He had the same answer to both questions, "As soon as possible." Amazing kid! So we first knocked on their door on a Saturday and two Saturdays later he was baptized. He wanted the former missionary who baptized his siblings to also baptize him, but he asked me to perform the confirmation. I was shocked, honored, excited and nervous all at once. It went well. So did the baptism, he even wanted me to speak! So I spoke on Enduring to the End. It was a good baptismal service.
