It's different being a trainer. I tutor for service hours. I've been tutoring math and physics. Family email 4-11-08 last night we had dinner at Brother Taylor's house the guy that served his mission in Australia and spent some time in mudgee. he made aussie burgers with all the stuff they don't put on burgers here- beetroot, egg, tomato etc. elder willcocks (aussie) and his companion elder sweeney (from scotland) and his companion too. brother taylor's computer room is australian themed. he showed us all his photos from the mission.he had a photo with the doyle family. halloween was awesome. i decided to splurge and buy a princess tiara from the dollar store. everyone's costumes were awesome. presidente donoso was a wizard. i think he looked the best. we carved pumpkins with the other sisters in our apartment. i found out that people don't eat pumpkin here! so weird! they only eat it in pumpkin pie. after the trunk or treat we went to hermano melgoza's birthday party. hermano ensaldo was there wearing a scotsman costume that has a fan underneath for an ultra fat effect. at the moment we have been contacting alot of referrals that we've received from media, other missionaries and members. we have about 15 to work through, to see who is really interested. other than that we have been teaching Alberto.. he's 25 and the son of a really strong member. he is doing really well and coming to all meetings and activites. we're also teaching stephanie, yesenia's 16 yr old daughter. she's such a sweet girl. she has been coming to everything too. she drove all the way to the temple visitor's centre in mesa on tuesday. she really enjoyed it. there are alot of things to see there. we're teaching a few others but those two are the ones i am most excited about right now.
Family email 11/11/08 hola
we had a great week this week. we worked really hard to get the mission goal of 20-10-2. which is 20 lessons with investigators, 10 hours of tracting and 2 lessons with less-actives and with the help of the elders we exceeded it! yeyyyy... our whole district was able to make the goal because we all worked together. our new zone leader elder nielson is really excited about the work and got us all excited to work extra hard this week. he is from georgia but he actually lived in australia for a few months and went to manly ward. he knows the hamiltons, biddles and hilarios.sunday is the cumulative day of the week and it was awesome. we have started teaching alberto's partner maria. i love her! she reads all the things we leave with her. she loves learning. alberto and maria came to church yesterday with their sons and all they also brought some of their sons' cousins
