P-day activities:

No update on his latest activities except for he does return letters to those who writes to him. How impressive! He used to be bad about sending thank you notes, etc. This mission is changing him.

Favorite Scripture:

Neat Story:

We, as his parents, were not able to accompany him to SLC and take him to the MTC. But his sister on her 3rd day at her Student teaching assignment receied special permission to take the day off from her assignment and pick her brother Elder Abbott up from the airport and take him to his new assignment to the MTC. On the way to the MTC Cessily, his sister stopped at a Krispy Creme doughnut shop to pick up some doughnuts for him. While there, she took many pictures of Matthew at the MTC. While there they ran into another Elder Abbott entering the mission field the very same day. Note from Cessily, while attending BYU Idaho this past two years, many people asked her if she was related to the Abbott family from Rigsby, ID. While there at the MTC they ran into an Elder Abbott and his family. Cessily approached them and asked if they were the Abbotts from Rigsby Idaho. Lo and Behold, they were... the famous Abbott Family from Rigsby, ID. What a riot! Matthew's Great Grandfather and Grandmother Abbott lived in Blackfoot, ID. in the late 1800's. We do have distant relatives living around that part of Idaho. It's a small world after all....
