Favorite Scripture:
2 Ne. 4:34-35 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen.

Neat Story:
Alex wrote: “An investigator named Reinaldo was going to get baptized but he got offended so he backed out and then got confused about everything and didn't know what he wanted. He hasn't been happy for a LONG time for various reasons, and so was really depressed when we were there teaching him. He also was recovering from pneumonia. Anyway, while we were there he started crying and just said that he wanted to be happy, that he was tired of being depressed, that he wanted peace. He had been praying and thinking for days about whether or not he should get baptized. We taught and talked, but it wasn't what he needed. So, the impression came to me that we ought to give him a blessing of comfort. I don't give blessings all that often to people who aren't members, and I don't know why....mostly because they don't tend to understand. Anyway, the impression was strong, and so I explained that we could give him a blessing of comfort. He had gotten a blessing of health from the missionaries when he was in the hospital for pneumonia, and so I just explained that it would be just like a blessing of health, but for his spirit. He said that was ok, and he wanted it. I had Elder Elescano give the blessing, he has like 6 months in the mission, and he gave a good blessing. The Spirit was SO strong, that it was just overwhelming. We seriously couldn't talk afterwards, we all three just sat there and were happy. I don't know if I have ever felt the Spirit that strongly before. It was amazing. He said that he wanted to get baptized, and so we decided on the 19th. There was a member with us who had left for a bit and when he came back, he just said, “Wow, something happened." I have seen Reinaldo like 3 times since then, and he is the happiest person I think I have ever seen. It is so amazing. I love you all tons and tons and hope that things continue to go well. Keep us in your prayers! Love always, Alex”
