Neat Story:
I had a humbling experience last week. I was feeling frustrated after one of our TRC teaching sessions because I felt like I couldn't express myself. Bro. Featherstone, one of my awesome teachers, took me into a classroom afterwards and we chatted for 20-25 minutes. He said to me, "You've been frustrated with not being able to express yourself for 6.5 weeks, right? Try feeling that way for 15 years." It was humbling. Bro. Featherstone is deaf and did not know ASL growing up so he had to read lips. He had to force himself to try and speak by taking voice therapy lessons. He learned ASL here at the MTC and got a cochlear implant that gives him 75% hearing in one of his ears, right after his mission. He's a stud and I'm thankful for the opportunity I've had to meet him! We really seem to connect
